Fatigue 101

1. Persisting fatigue lasting 6 months or more that doesn’t abate with adequate sleep, is the #1 complaint patients seek medical care for in the U.S. Unfortunately many providers aren’t equipped with the right tools or education to investigate root cause and patients cannot find relief without addressing it.

     2. Fatigue almost always involves adrenal dysfunction, which is a result of unchecked stress. If your adrenals are affected, you can bet your hormones are suffering too. Fatigue rarely occurs as a singular symptom.

     3. Chronic fatigue is a physical AND neurological symptom that needs attention on both to heal. We address both by looking at signs in routine bloodwork, use functional health testing when needed to uncover root-cause, and call in hypnotherapy to rewire patterns and behaviors that are keeping you stuck and sick.

    4. Establishing your physical baseline and moving the needle on your activity goals is key to not regressing. By slowly and steadily building activity and bandwidth, you create muscle memory. This happens incrementally to prevent overwhelming the body or causing a crash. Having a good coach to support you in this is 🔑

    5. Acting early on gives you the best chance at preventing chronic disease, since fatigue is a symptom that preempts most diseases. If you can figure out the root cause and correct the imbalance, not only do you have the best chance of preventing chronic disease, but a side effect is your life wildly improves too.
